CGC Grading Submissions

As an authorized CGC dealer, we can submit your books for grading once they are pressed. The submission process can be complicated and time-consuming, so let us do all the work for you.

  • Why should I get my comics pressed?

Almost any comic can benefit from a press. A good press can remove or reduce spine ticks, creases, finger bends and other pesky flaws that professional graders will downgrade your books for. Whether you're submitting for grading or keeping it raw, a press will help you get the most out of your book.

  • What types of comics will you press?

We will press any book published 1975 or later with a value of $500 and under. We do not offer pressing for magazines or magazine size comics (TMNT #2 for example). We plan on expanding our services to offer pressing for magazines and more valuable comics in the future.

  • Do you guarantee a higher grade after a book is pressed?

While we can never guarantee a certain grade for any book, we can tell you that a press will help you get the best grade possible.

  • How can you offer pressing services at a fraction of the price of others, and with faster turnaround times?

We have 20+ presses working around the clock 7 days a week, and our highly trained staff knows how to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

  • Do you clean the books before pressing?

We give each book a precursory wipe-down before it goes into a press to remove any excess dirt or dust. It will then get exposed to light steam and then into the press it goes. We DO NOT use any chemicals or touch-up techniques as these are generally viewed as restoration and usually frowned upon in the comic collecting community.

  • What happens if my book gets damaged?

While it's extremely rare that a book gets damaged in our possession, accidents do happen in life. But not to worry, our insurance will cover the full value of the book in its estimated grade pre-damage.
